Insulated Concrete Forms by NUDURA Insulated Concrete Form projects ICF related events, news and press FAQs about Insulated Concrete Forms

The use of fabric to form concrete is a revolutionary innovation in concrete forming. Fabric forming is as powerful a change in this century as the gypsum wall board was in the last. Fabric forming represents a true paradigm shift to the concrete forming industry.
  • Fabric Forms

    • Fabric can only operate in tension, and has no neutral or compression planes. As a result, fabric is extremely efficient in transferring fluid loads to the restraining ties. Typically fabric is 200 to 300 times lighter than a comparable rigid form, offering efficiencies unheard of in the history of the concrete forming.

  • Fast-Tube™

    • These efficiencies allow the formwork to be left in place, reducing expensive recycling costs of stripping, transporting and storage. Furthermore, the fabric provides sustaining value such as a damp proof membrane, preventing water wicking into the concrete and providing a drier and healthier indoor environment.

    • Fast-TubeT is a revolutionary column form replacing cardboard tubes. Manufactured from high strength fabric, Fast-TubeT comes in 120' rolls and in diameters ranging from 6" to 12". Installation, pouring and stripping is quick and simple.

    • BENEFITS

      • Fast to install
      • Easy to brace
      • Weatherproof - unaffected by water and sun
      • Cut to any length from a 120' roll with a utility knife, no waste
      • Easy to strip - pull weld apart
      • Lightweight - 120' of 10" tube weighs under 17 lbs.
      • Compact - 120' pack is the size of a box of nails

  • Fastfoot

    • Fastfoot is a fabric footing form that prevents rising damp. Stakes are driven into the ground, 2x4 screed boards attached at the correct height, and Fastfoot is stapled to each 2x4 to form and protect the concrete from ground moisture.

    • I - Fastfoot can be used as a complete footing form, forming the sides and base of the footing.

    • II - Fastfoot can be used as an edge form, forming the sides only. Fastfoot edging is used where the footing (or slab) is too wide to be formed with a single width of fabric.

    • BENEFITS

      • Prevents rising damp by providing a wicking break between the footing concrete and the damp ground, reducing mold and mildew
      • Fast to install, less expensive than forming with lumber
      • Lightweight - 120' of fabric weighs only 12.4 lbs.
      • Adapts to uneven ground
      • No forming lumber
      • Less concrete, no leakage
      • Better concrete quality
      • In summer, prevents rapid desiccation of concrete
      • In winter, prevents contamination of concrete with mud and water
      • Stay in place form, no stripping of fabric
      • No concrete damage to 2x4s, stakes
      • No leaching of concrete contaminates into ground and water table
